Mother’s Day

I don’t think I ever really appreciated my mum until I was a mum myself. I certainly never realised how hard she worked, how much she gave up and just how much she did for me but most of all how much she loved me. I am thankful for her love and guidance every day and Mother’s Day is the perfect time to show just how much she means to me….. A table set for two seemed just perfect. I don’t think I will see any of my kids on Mother’s Day (I have spent a lot of time with them lately) but I’m sure they will be thinking of me…I hope so anyway!! LOL
I started out thinking that pansies would be just right for this table but by the time I finished there was not a pansy in sight. How does this happen??? I did stick with the purple theme though but decided to team it with pale blue for a different look.

    Purple theme table is lovely for Mother's Day! My two favorites are the striped flatware and the antique salt and pepper shakes with the lovely lady. The tablecloth is so vibrant and is a perfect background.

    What a wonderful tribute to your mom just in time for her special day! Purple is one of those colors you don't see used a lot right now, so I love seeing that more people are bringing it back.     Hi, Suzy! I love the purple paired with the blue! That's a color combination I've never used (at least not that I can remember!), but it's beautiful. I am going to stash that thought in my Brain Rolodex for future use!!! I don't know where you got those cool salt & peppers or that fun flatware, but they are the diggity bomb!!! (Who am I now? DJ Jazzy Jeff?!??!?!) This is a table any Mother would love! I hope that even though you won't see your offspring on Mother's Day that you have a good one! :-) (The only way to ensure that I get to see mine was to let him know what was for dessert! Like "The Godfather", I made him an offer he couldn't refuse!!!)
