Moving into Ikea!

I think I might move  house…….I have found a ‘little house’ which is just me. Even my daughter thought so. After days of shifting furniture, scrubbing and painting I was really ready for a little retail therapy so DNo 1 and I decided to have a look at Ikea on Thursday morning. Lunch was not really very exciting but there were so many inspirational displays that made up for it. This little area was just made for me, I am sure. I think you will agree it’s very cute.

I just love this mix of taupe, pink and white.  I could live in a house with just those colours!!  Our beachhouse is not a house that could be comfortable with that colour palette. Isn’t it funny how some things just don’t go. It’s ok though, I’ll just go to Ikea to get my fix!! My two beautiful daughters had organised a surprise for me on Thursday afternoon and had booked me in to have a full body massage. It was wonderful….we had the first real rain for months and it was so relaxing listening to that while I had my massage. What a wonderful way to recharge my batteries!

  3. Hello Suzi,
I love going to Ikea. All the rooms are so fun to walk through. The room you love is gorgeous with those colors! I do know what you mean about some colors and themes not fitting every dwelling.
Your daughters are sweet setting you up with a massage! Yay for you!
    Hugs,
    Terri

  4. Hi Suzi, I was just at Ikea myself the other day. Don't they have some lovely stuff just now? I bought the cream enameled pitcher and have some forced cherry blossoms in it just now. So much fun for so little money!

  5. Oh, I TOTALLY love IKEA. Every time I walk in there, I feel as if I've come home. Everything is orderly, clean, brilliantly displayed, affordable, and attainable. I go there about four times a year for a home-again hit.

  6. I enjoyed your tablescapes and like the choice of colours.
A massage is definitely the way to relax and recharge as I go every month - for half an hour.

  21. It is always fun to go to Ikea. Last trip there I fell in love with their white wood flooring. Thought about using it in our basement finishing but decided it just wasn't practical. Went with a old barn look. Almost ready to lay it and I can't wait! Love the pretty dishes. I love these colors. Especially for Spring. I don't use alot of them in my home other than holidays. I lean more to reds, aquas, and greens. Hopped over from Let's Dish. Happy to be a new follower. I have a link party, Share Your Cup Thursday. It's all about sharing what makes you happy. Would love if you shared some time!

  24. A massage AND a romp through the IKEA store...that's livin', my friend! I'm counting the days until we get our first one here in my area. I might even start a little "IKEA Fund" jar on the kitchen counter into which I shall demand that my husband empty all loose change every evening. The store isn't scheduled to open until late 2014, so I think I might be able to accumulate quite a tidy sum by then! :-)

Glad you enjoyed yourself! Hope your weekend is going along fine!
