Good Morning, Sunshine

IMG_4003aa
We had a beautiful morning today……the sun was shining, there was a gentle breeze and there was a slight mist in the distance. I’m so ready for the weather to change – it has been one long hot summer here in Australia.
Time for a breakfast tray. I love all these cute black and white patterns. The hounds tooth fabric on the bottom of the tray was given to me by my Mum recently. It is so cute and had the price tag of 5/-.  That is 5 shillings!!!!  Australia changed to dollars and cents in 1966 (I think!!) so this has been stashed away in the cupboard for a while! I adore the little black and white bird cage bowls – just perfect for cereal or fresh fruit.
I have added a cute yellow egg candle to the white egg cup.
This all spells a beautiful sunny morning to me…..

I have been baby sitting my grandchildren a bit lately and have just returned from the beach house today so I am feeling a little worn out tonight. I have a whole day at home tomorrow by myself…I can’t wait to just potter around.

  21. Hi, Suzi! So you've been babysitting this week, huh? I'll bet you ARE worn out! That can be fun, but it can take every bit of energy you have in your body, too!!!! :-)

Your breakfast tray is beautiful! I have to look up the shillings:dollars ratio, but the tray price sounds like a bargain. It's gorgeous! I love the way you mixed the patterns on the tray. Very pretty! The yellow really pops against the neutral black & white! The bowl is just SO cute with the little bird cage!!!

Stay cool! Or just send some of that warmth to us here in the Midwest, U.S.A. It's VERY cold here (about 35 degrees F), and very rainy. It's SUPPOSED to be Spring with temperatures somewhere in the 60s, but that's not happening!!! :-(

    Have a great weekend!
