Spring colours

As we are nearing the end of winter it is time to get out and clean up the garden  little. I have taken two weeks off work as I have had some major dental work happening. I developed a massive infection in my front tooth which required the removal of my tooth. Yes, shock horror, you read that right. Any dental work is a major happening for me but this was just about too much for me to handle. Luckily I have an amazing endodontist who has done a wonderful job at treating me. I now have a fake tooth in the front which I will now wear for three months until the gum has healed. I had lost a large area of bone which we thought might need a bone graft but thankfully we haven’t had to go there…yet!! I knew all along that my teeth would look better in the end but getting to the end was the problem!! I am having an implant done which is costing about $10000.00 so heres hoping it looks great!! Hopefully I will have chance this week to set a lovely table but I will share this pretty one I did last year for Easter. Just love this colour mix!!

We are having the most lovely weather at the moment – warm days but wonderful crisp mornings – don’t forget I am in Australia and we are heading towards winter!!
What better than to set a table, pretty with Easter colours, out in the garden. Usually at this time of the year my garden is very parched and thirsty looking but because we have had such amazing summer rains everything is green. Especially the weeds!!!
Well, I guess you can’t win them all.

Nothing says Easter like pink and yellow!! I have used these colours together at my sister’s gift shop and people are amazed that I have put them together. I think they are just gorgeous.

How gorgeous do those colours look with the sun shining on them???

My overgrown creeper on the fence behind is such a healthy green against the sherbet colours on the table.

Even my faded cushions from my sunroom look great on this old outdoor setting I picked up from the side of the road (much to my son’s disgust!)

I have used my pink polka dot flatware (I love that stuff!) and also a white set. Pink napkins I have had for a while but the yellow ones I found thrifting last year.

Now you can see what I mean about my overgrown creeper!!! Better than a dead creeper though! I love the way the rust is showing through the paint on the chairs (actually they are really rusty and I wouldn’t sit on them).

The flowers are off the bookcase in my familyroom so I just added a few little yellow heads to the arrangement.

More faded cushions but I do love those colours.

  11. Love the pink and yellow colors. The outdoor setting is lovely. I am so sorry to hear of your dental problems. I am facing some heavy duty dental bills myself. Those infections destroy the underlying bone. You are lucky not to need the bone implant. Good luck and God bless.

  15. So sorry to read about your dental problems, the good thing is they can fix that pretty well, the bad thing is it is expensive - were all those zeroes correct?! My son had some major dental work, a bike accident years ago - not a fun process. Love your spring inspired thablescape - looks like a beautiful confection! I do appreciate you sharing with Home and Garden Thursday,
    Kathy
