I recently saw a tablescape done by Alycia where she displayed all her fine work on a buffet (or buff – et, as my daughters call it!) and I thought that is one table I really hadn’t done many of so of course that got my mind going. All sorts of ideas came into my mind (as usual) but I ended up setting my buffet in red, black and white. Mainly I think because I had three sets of flatware that would go nicely with the red, black and white china I had.
I have reused my flower pots I painted with blackboard paint for the flatware. I really had everything else except for the black and white check salad plates – they are a recent purchase. Also I may have just bought the black stemmed glasses and yes, I forgot, also the black and white toile napkins but really that is all I purchased!!

Stunning buff-et table! I totally love red, black and white and all your flatware and check dishes with check tablecloth are great, just perfectly pretty. You did a wonderful job on your own, my friend. Thanks for sharing.

Everything is so well coordinated. Beautiful color mix!...Christine
If you don't wrap those little black & white gingham checked plates up and send them to me right away, you're going to force me to have to fly to Australia to come get them!!!! :-) Man, those are cute!!!!!!!! I love gingham checks, and I've never seen plates with that design! They go perfectly with your table topper, and the red you infused really picks it up and makes it all fly! I like the way you set the plates and things up in little "stations" so that a person could start at almost any position of the table and serve themselves from the center. Very cool!!! Buffets (AND buff-ets!) are such a popular way of entertaining. The more we explore that, the better for our guests! Had it not been for the tablescaping class I taught in the Spring, I don't know that I ever would have gone there. You and I will have to revolutionize the art of buffetscapes together! :-) Thanks for the shout out, Suzy, and have a great weekend!!!
Love this color combination! You put everything together so nicely. Well done!
This is a colorful and wonderful buffet table.

Love your tablescape. It is really popping with the black plaid tablecloth, your three colors or dishes and multiple sets of flatware. How cute is that!! Perfect job, and yes, Alycia is so talented too but you are right in there wit your table. Sorry to read about your Mom and upcoming surgery. That will be a long and hard recovery with shoulder.
Your tablescape is perfect. Love the black and white.
Thanks for sharing on Simple & Sweet Fridays.
