Fluffing and cleaning

I had the day at home today. Don’t you love that??? I do…I don’t have many days to just fiddle around and change a few things. First up though was some serious cleaning. You know….bathroom, toilet and laundry rooms. Once they were finished I was able to set some pretty bits and pieces on an old cupboard I have in my sunroom. I find living between two houses really is a little difficult finding time to do all the fun things in the house.

I’m in a bit of shock tonight. My brother-in-law has been burnt lighting the fire in their home tonight. He has nasty hand, arm and face burns and there has been some damage to their home. It really just tells us all to be so careful doing the everyday things. He might need to be transferred to the large burns unit in the city in the morning so we are all keeping our fingers crossed he will be ok.
Tomorrow I am back at work then off to the city for a dental appointment, a game of football (not me!! hah), and some special time with our grandies. I can’t wait.

Hello Suzy,
I can understand the challenge of having two homes. Just one home is challenging to me : )
Your vignettes here are lovely! Your china is gorgeous dressed up with pretty linens like that! How fun to be home to do these things.
I am very sorry to hear your BIL is suffering! I hope the very best for his comfort and recovery.
Hugs,
Terri

Suzy, so sorry to hear about your BIL. Sure hope he is doing better. I can only imagine how painful that would be. Taking care of two homes is a challenge. I'm feeling that even with our just newly finished basement. You manage to make the farmhouse so warm and cozy. Love it all! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
hugs,
Jann

Suzy, I hope your BIL is on his way to a speedy recovery. When I first read your post, I forgot you are in Australia and wondered why on earth he was lighting a fire in late June. Then I saw your About Me paragraph that refreshed my memory as to where you are.

Your dishes are paired just perfectly with the coneflowers. I love how you stacked the plates in the box. Just lovely...

I have a Vignette Design Series posted right now with tips on how to create vignettes. Yours are an inspiration for the rest of us.
