Icy blue and white for Christmas

I can’t believe just how close Christmas is!!!! I have been a little undecided about just what colour I was going to have for my table this year. I am really moving more to the natural look with whites and pinecones and just a softer look in general. Last week I bleached some pinecones and love how they turned out. I mixed a few natural brown ones in as well and then added a few blue balls for contrast. It is just so long since I have been able to fiddle around setting a pretty table and I realise just how much I love it. Hopefully over the next few months of summer here in Australia I will have some fun. This table is very simple….so simple in fact I forgot to add some wine glasses but don’t worry I could soon find them if needed!!  The woven mats I picked up a few years ago in the bargain bin and now I’m wishing I had bought one dozen of them. I just wish my dear friend lived close enough to drop by and join me for lunch!!

Christmas in Australia must have quite a different "feel" to it season-wise than here in Canada. I think you have captured it perfectly though with your gorgeous tablescape and I love the textures and colours!

Wow ! I just might steal a few ideas here. These are my Christmas colors ( with a touch of red thrown in ) and the natural elements of the design make this all around the most appealing Christmas decorating I've seen in awhile. Simply elegant...

I love a simple table. The pinecones look so beautiful with the blue. I saw the instructions for bleaching pinecones and look forward to trying it. A simple, quiet look for Christmas is always appealing. Happy Thanksgiving!

I love the icy blue feeling with that soft blue! So pretty and I also like how you used the pinecones on the 3 tierd serving tray! Great shots of your table, I never know quite how to get those good shots! Stopping by from Let's Dish!

Love your color palette! What a great way to celebrate Christmas, when it's still summer! I really like that you incorporated earthy elements, too! It grounds the colors beautifully.

I so love your table! It is truly icy blue.

I am afraid that you've posted to the wrong party. I host two parties. One on Thursday evenings called "Oh, the PLACES I've been!" which is what you've linked to. I think you meant to link to my Saturday/Sunday link party called "Seasonal Sundays" which is about all things seasonal.

I don't think your post got the traffic it deserved as it was at the wrong party. Why don't you link the same post again this coming weekend to Seasonal Sundays? The link goes up at 7 pm Saturday evening.
