Sunday morning breakfast

Finally after a couple of months getting our beach house organised for us to just go and relax in Mr FH and I were able to start to be holiday-makers last weekend. Trust me I have really enjoyed getting furniture and decorating but now is the time to sit back and enjoy. Last Sunday morning the weather was great so we decided to go to a great little cafe called MOKA - isn't that a great name? - for breakfast.

How cool is this?  Can you see the refection in the glass??

Could I tempt you with a hot chocolate?

Or how about a steaming flat white? You can see in the background Mr FH is checking the footy results in the paper!!

Yummy, yummy bacon and eggs with tomato on the side...one of my favourite meals.

This is the view looking out the door from where we were seated......doesn't look much like winter does it?

I wish I could say that they were our bikes but no we arrived another way..

I wish I could say that we came on one of these too but no.. we came in our trusty farm ute (a small truck) as we had furniture to move.  Never mind I can dream.

Have a lovely weekend,
Suzy

Breakfast in bed

While I was busy taking happy snaps of my daughter's bedroom I thought I would set up a breakfast tray ready for Tablescape Thursday with Susan.

I had one little white rose so picked that and tied it up with a blue ribbon.
I used my vintage salt and pepper shakers and a pretty doiley on this great tray I bought for half price a while back. I just love the colour and shape of the edges.

I didn't have a silver egg cup so instead I used a silver napkin ring on it's side - just perfect for a boiled egg for breaky.

This tray has the most gorgeous legs - I have it displayed on a dresser in my kitchen all the time. I actually bought it to use in the centre of the dining table but it really is a little too big for that.

This little teapot is just perfect for one person - just big enough for a a cuppa then a refill.

I have these pretty little dresses displayed in the bedroom - DNo 1 who turns 31 this year wore them when she was a baby. They are so frilly and cute - quite a bit different to the clothes babies wear today.

This beautiful painting of a blue wren is on the bedside table - it was a gift from a friend for my 50th birthday - it really is exquisite.

Hope you will join me for beakfast.

Breakfast In Bed

Who doesn't like breakfast in bed?? I am certainly one person who does... usually I just get a cuppa but that's better than nothing. This week I am joining Susan @ Between Naps on the Porch for her gorgeous Tablescape Thursday (I know I am early but things are a little busy here so you have to  do these things whenever there is time!). I have done a quick little breakfast tray that I would just love to see coming through my bedroom door...somehow I think it would be more likely my daughters who did this not Mr FH..

I had just bought these cute little egg cups for $1.50 each so they were the start of my tray. The flatware is really pretty polka dot pink - very me...
I used a very plain white cup, saucer and plate I had which belong to a coffee set. The striped napkin I had purchased a couple of years ago from Bed, Bath and Table - it is a set of six but there are three different pink striped designs - this one looked the prettiest.

I started off with this lovely pink depression bowl for the fruit but changed my mind and added this lovely pink bowl Daughter No 1 had given me a couple of years ago for my birthday.

I had pink candles sitting in them (there are two!) when suddenly they caught my attention - much better I think.

Our bed head is very wide so I am able to display things on it - this gorgeous candelabra sits up there all the time - I hope it never falls off as it is very heavy!

Please sit back, relax and enjoy this breakfast tray I have prepared for you...
