Finally I’m starting to get back into the swing of things! I decided on Saturday afternoon to set a very calming table with just cream and white. I have had this lovely tablecloth for years so I just placed it over another old white cloth. I gathered up some white and taupe tableware and set about creating a table.
I love how the circles on the napkins are echoed in the dinnerware. Once again I was stuck for a centrepiece (this always happens and as I’m 80kms from a shop I have to make do!!) so I jumped the fence in front of our house into the wheat crop and picked a bunch of rippening wheat. I read on Marty’s blog that she had bought a bunch for $3.49 – wow if only I could sell a small bunch for that!!!
White and taupe – what a restful combination……..
I’m off to work tomorrow to start our Christmas displays – such a nice time of the year.

Your silver ware is so beautiful...What are the handles made of?
You made me smile as memories came back, with your comment on "jumping" the fence to fetch your centre piece, which is lovely by the way.

I love outdoor settings like this. Yours is beautiful. Love that tablecloth too. I just love tablecloths. Hubby said he wanted to change our long farmhouse table for a large round one! I said are you kidding? What would I do with all these wonderful tablecloths I've collected over the years? hahahaha...Your blog is always wonderful to visit and see what you are doing!
Blessings,

Hi Suzy...
Your harvest table is beautiful, my friend! I love the soft color theme that you chose...nothing prettier than creamy whites!!! Love your place settings and your lovely table linens! You did GOOD gathering the wheat for your centerpiece...very pretty, my friend! Thank you for sharing your beautiful harvest table with us today!
Warmest wishes,

Oh, yeah...you are DEFINITELY in the swing!!! This is beautiful!!! I love how you used the lacy white cloth over the plain white. It's gorgeous!!! As for your decor, sometimes the most beautiful creations stem from "desperation." For you to jump over a fence definitely constitutes "desperation" in my book! I would be broken into a thousand pieces trying to jump a fence! I have purchased (emphasis on PURCHASED...not jumping any fences here!) a dozen or so bunches of wheat to use for one of our Thanksgiving tables. I wish I could have just made my way into that wheat field...maybe using the gate instead of hopping in! Have a great weekend!
I love the touch of wheat. Simple elegance.
Simple, elegant and just lovely here!! Thx for linking up last week, sorry for the delay in visiting but sure glad I didn't miss this!
