A shabby old window

bluea
I’ve had the last two weeks off work – I arranged for a replacement before I had my dental work done not knowing how I would be feeling. I have been fine this last week but decided to still take this week off so I could catch up with a few things around the farm house. I was a great idea as I have loved just pottering around, doing some cleaning, a little gardening and changing a few things around. The first place I changed was the top of the TV cabinet ready for spring. I hade been searching for an old white painted window for ages and finally found one the other day. I sanded it a little and generally cleaned it up to use. I am really happy how it turned out. Everything else I gathered up from around the house.

Here’s what it looked like when I started to clean it!!

I found this picture of the hydrangeas I had printed off ages ago and had put it in this distressed frame so I thought it just fitted in perfectly.
I love it when everything is clean …..now to start on the real windows!!

Oh, that wonderful old window is utterly fabulous and I love the vignette in front of it!!! I am so glad you are feeling better...and didn't have to use that time feeling under the weather and could instead do some house projects....we're planning a Staycation soon....not only to save money, but because we genuinely have so much to catch up on house-wise!

Love/hugs/blessing & please stop by to see my new blog re-design,
Lana

The window is the way to heighten your lovely vignette. The spring hues of blue and white are a special accent with the addition of the hydrangeas. Glad you enjoyed your last week by puttering and decorating! Have a great week!

You've done a fantastic job cleaning up the window - it makes a wonderful vignette - I hope your denta work isn't too severe and that you'll be well soon! I am delighted that you shared with Home and Garden Thursday,
