Celebrating Easter

It’s hard to believe Easter has been and gone. Hopefully you had a wonderful time with family and friends. We spent Easter at the beach house and were joined by two of our three children. We enjoyed our little grandsons visit on Saturday. The weather was absolutely perfect. We have received some lovely rain on the farm which has washed away some of the dust that had settled over summer. We have a touch of green in the paddocks which is just lovely.
I have come to the conclusion that I really just love the beautiful soft colours of Easter. The beautiful pastels are just so restful and some of the Easter mantels and tables around blogland have been just amazing. I set a buffet table for a simple lunch with some cute egg shaped plates I bought in the after-Easter-sales. I used blue and yellow so my little grandsons could share in the fun. The plates are melamine so perfect for little people!! I have the same plates in pink and green which I have added to my kitchen dresser but I have too many photos so I will share them next week.

I'm visiting from the Tuesdays at our Home party. So glad I found your blog! This vignette is beautiful. I love the color combination and I really like those egg shaped plates. I bet I've eaten as much chocolate as you...maybe more! :) Time for me to get back to exercising too.

I just love blue and yellow -- it's all so fresh and fun! Smart idea on those cute melamine dishes for the little ones. I have melamine Christmas dishes, but I really should look for some others, too.

I love love love this tablescape. The wire basket with the dishes is creative, instead of the same old place setting. Very creative...

Whenever I see blue and yellow together I think of my mom. That was her favorite combo for the kitchen....and your tablescape is beautiful with those colors!

So YOU'RE the one who ate all the chocolate bunnies!!! I didn't get a bite of even one bunny ear this year!

This is a gorgeous display, Suzy, and what pulls it all together is that wonderful tablecloth! I had a dress made of a similar fabric of which I was very fond back when I was a little girl. Looking at this tablecloth brings back memories of how pretty I felt wearing it.

I'm so glad you enjoyed your Easter weekend at the beach house!

This is a very pretty vignette! I'm liking the blue, yellow and white colour combo and that bunny is so cute - I've got a thing for white bunnies of late. You couldn't have eaten more Easter chocolate than me!!

So sweet, I love the way you choose just 2 of the many traditional Easter colors and created such a peaceful setting, perfect for the beach too. Lovely!

Great color combination! Those plates are so interesting and I love the bunny! I am on chocolate overload, as well. We all say that we buy it for the children, but we are liars, all - lol!! Somehow, I end up buying the kind I like each year - hahahaha!!

Pastels are, indeed, the colors of spring and there's no better time than the Easter season to incorporate them. I would have eaten more chocolate, but the kids beat me to it!
