Tattered Old Teapot

I have quite a collection of old enamel ware - kitchenware used in many of the old Australian farm house.
On this pot stand in the corner of my kitchen I have a couple of old saucepans, a little milk pail on the top and two cute teapots.

I certainly wouldn't like to drink a cup of tea from these!  They do however, make wonderful vases for bunches of pretty daisies!

This teapot with the pretty pattern on is my favourite. It is not nearly as common as the one above it but I still don't think it is very valuable.  I puchased this at a farm clearing sale many years ago. Sorry about the spooky photo above - it looks like halloween is coming to Australia!! lol

This poor old teapot would certainly have a tale or two to tell. The pretty green and cream teacup and saucer is a perfect match!!

Like all of us, it has a few dings in it to show it has been around for a while!!

Your enamelware teapots are really nice. I think only a hard working farm girl would have been able to lift one of these with tea in it.

Hi Suzy,
I gues, this teapot is around 80 years old. It's like an old lady. Old but very charming. And the cup is the perfect partner to the tea pot.
Wonderful vignettes, thank you for sharing.
Greetings, Johanna @ silber-rosen.blogspot.com

I think your teapot must have a story...when you find something unique, don't you just wonder and wonder what its life was before you? I know I do.
It all looks very nice and I love your pot rack!

I LOVE the enamelware!!!!!!!!! I remember a lot of it at my grandparents' Kansas farm when I was a child. SO cool! The pot really did go very well with your green & white tea cup & saucer. Amazing! The dings give it character and show it has been well loved over the years. Have a wonderful week!

Hello there Suzy,

Although I was here earlier, this is all just so lovely, as always!.., I love your enamel ware.

Although I try so hard, (and also each week these days, 'I say to myself', that I will be earlier by far, in getting by to visit and see your lovely tea party posts and extend a warm invitation also for next week's tea's)!..,

yet..,

Here I am once again, 'on the cusp' of a brand new week, just now finding the much coveted time to visit you, my dear tea party participant and dear blog friend, yet once again, much later than I would like.

It has been an exceptionally busy season, yet I thank you ever so much for joining me for my, 'Tuesday Tea For Two', and shared, 'Tea Pot And Tea Things Tuesday', corner of, 'Tuesday And Wednesday Tea Time In Blogland'!..,

It is always such a pleasure having you join us!

This week coming marks my 52nd and 25th such tea parties respectively; hope to see you once again then!

Cheers and hugs from Wanda Lee
