Spring cleaning in my wardrobe

I’ve had a busy day today. It’s been raining so it was a great time to get into my wardrobe and sort out my necklaces.
Years ago I hammered nails into some wooden coathangers to hang my necklaces on but over the years I had bought so many my ‘invention’ started to pull apart.

See what I mean????
Mr FH found me a piece of weldmesh which I painted white and secured to the wall behind our bedroom door. It is not visible at all from the bedroom when the door is open. Just what I wanted.

Sorting them into colours!!

I  know they don’t look like it but they are all hung according to colour. (I know, I’m a bit funny about things like that!)

Now it is so easy to choose which necklace I need at just a glance.

That's a great idea.....mine are all stuffed into jewelry boxes, and they get so tangled!

Well that is quite clever!! I had to do something quite the same but, I took the big push pins and just started tacking them to the inside of the back of my closet wall behind the door....Ummmm now I have a million holes back there! Nothing that spackle won't fix uf course but, this would have been a better option :)
I think necklaces multiply when we are not looking!

Nice work. Keeping them organized is the key to keeping them worn! I use organizers from The Container Store. They make great gifts, too. http://www.containerstore.com/shop?productId=10025750&N=&Ntt=jewelry+organizer

LOVE your necklaces! I'd wear every one of them. They do look wonderful organized this way.
