Thrifty Finds

I wasn’t planning on setting a blue table this week but I found these lovely blue glasses at the thrift store on the weekend so I just had to use them. I’ve been looking at all the gorgeous wine glasses with beautiful coloured stems for ages but every time I saw them in the shops they were about $25 each. Way too much!  So when I spied these the other day for $1.50 each I grabbed them as quickly as I could.

Instead of having blue and white I decided to be a little different and set my Calico ware china with taupe plates instead. The flatware I had bought a while back was a perfect match. (Sorry about the bits on the napkins left from the burlap runner!)

Once again I was having trouble making some sort of centrepiece for the table. I just used a lovely hurricane I had received for my birthday and gathered up some small cups, saucers, china balls and spare lids and piled them up.
The table ended up looking a bit ‘fallish’ again but that’s ok I got to use my new glasses!!

Gorgeous! I love how you tied the napkins up. The blues and burlap look fab together. The new blue glasses are so perfect for this tablescape, and what a bargain! I see your pretty blue tea cup in your decoration too.

How creative to add the cups and smaller items into the glass hurricane. And I don't blame you. I would have snatched up those gorgeous blue glasses, too! They look great with your china.

Your table looks so pretty! The new glasses are perfect. I can totally relate to searching out thrift colored glasses. I love them but, they are so expensive in full retail stores! Thank you for joining TTF! I hope you are having a wonderful Sunday!
